Prime Health Services Application Developer I

We are immediately looking for a full-time Information Technology team member for the position of Application Developer I.  This entry-level position will support multiple existing web applications, as well as feature enhancements on new development applications for both internal and external clients.

We are looking for candidates that are efficient, willing to work on a multitude of projects at one time, strategic (forward and holistic thinking), and have a flexible attitude as project priorities fluctuate. 

The Application Developer I position will be working with current Application II and Senior Developers and provide general IT services for Prime Health Services including hardware & software support, networking, and some programming. 

In order to be an ideal candidate for our team, you would be experienced in a variety of software architectural and engineering concepts such as services oriented architecture, data modeling, and N-tier development. This candidate also must be proficient in Microsoft.NET Framework and related Microsoft technologies. Experience in relational databases would be a plus.

Experience in the following technologies preferred:

  • C# and .NET development
  • MS-SQL / SQL Azure
  • Web development experience using ASP.NET with C# on the back-end
  • AJAX and jQuery
  • nHibernate or a similar ORM framework
  • Web services and various other cloud technologies

Prime Health Services IT Support Specialist

Our Information Technology team is growing!  Prime Health Services is in search for the right person to fulfill the full-time IT Support Specialist role which will provide IT support to employees and daily operations. 

We are primarily a MSFT shop and our focus is on web based applications and web services.  This position works closely with other IT employees to troubleshoot and helps to resolve problems in both our Windows based network environment and with our internally designed applications.  The IT Support Specialist is also tasked with many server administering responsibilities and some IT operational requirements. This position will work closely with PHS's internal programmers and could offer the opportunity to grow into a software development position. 

Responsibilities include:

  • Responds to trouble ticket requests for technical support
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software related issues and installations
  • Assist in the administration of corporate server infrastructure, including Active Directory, Exchange, and MS-SQL servers
  • Administration of QA department servers
  • Corporate firewall maintenance
  • Assists in monitoring security compliance policies
  • Internal web application and wiki design and maintenance
  • Coordinates with other IT employees to resolve problems as necessary

Background/ Requirements: 

  • Bachelor's degree in MIS, CIS, or equivalent.
  • Database experience and /or network infrastructure a plus.

Prime Health Services Provider Contractor

Our provider recruiter positions are responsible for contracting medical providers, which include physicians, hospitals, other facilities, and medical groups, into our preferred provider organization (PPO) network. Negotiations will primarily be with physicians and hospitals providing services for our group health, workers' compensation, and auto liability clients.

The Provider Contractor position will call targeted medical providers in a defined geographic territory to ultimately negotiate a contract with favorable fee arrangements for Prime Health Services (and our clients) while ensuring the contract is in compliance with all state, provider, and corporate requirements. This position will also analyze and use data to find trends and develop strategies for recruiting and re-contracting key providers for our PPO network. 

Required:

  • Positive, willing-to-learn attitude 
  • Bachelor's Degree 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel 
  • Comfortable with learning new tools for the job (online system, CRM software, etc.)

Prime Health Services IT Project Manager

A new role has hit the books: our IT Department is in search for a Project Manager to help us get organized and continue to grow at the fast pace we've had for the past five years. This position is responsible for providing support related to the quality, reliability, and compliance of Prime Health Services software solutions. Ensuring the correctness and quality of software delivery, the Project Manager will help focus the team on meeting project commitments, as well as oversee and document all aspects of client facing projects. This role functions as a liaison between Information Technology and business teams in gathering, defining, and understanding client's needs.

Usual skills that are required for a good project manager:  capability to multi-task, stunning attention to detail, remarkable time management, and a focus on processes. But we're looking for extra ordinary. 

You have a super power that best allocates limited resources (personnel availability, time, money, and technology restraints) to make the most positive business impact. Your prioritization skills are top-notch. 

You can look at situations objectively and are a great collaborater and mediator to get to the root of the project, the true priority, how it will impact other projects, departments, and the organization as a whole, and the direction it will take the organization. How individual projects impact the business strategy is important, even when constant changes are taking place. Flexible and adaptive are good traits. 

Are you a critical thinker?  Having the ability to accurately assess risk is a bonus. Prioritizing the value of each asset, while minimizing the risk of project failures (missed deadlines, etc) by ensuring the right team members have the right tools, knowledge, and information they need on-going through the project is something we're interested in.

Impeccable communication skills is a no-brainer but we are looking for someone with proven experience in multi-faceted communication and being able to translate between IT and the end-user or client. Working with various personalities, viewpoints, communication styles and being able to not only motivate through the process but clearly communicate project progress, hold-ups / challenges, resource limitations, etc. will be critical to success. 

Essential Job Duties:

  • Facilitate the definition of project missions, goals, tasks, and resource requirements; resolve or assist in the resolution of challenges within and between projects or functional areas; develop methods to monitor project or area progress.
  • Review and analyze documentation of systems applicable to user needs, including workflows and software functionality.
  • Review product design documentation to ensure that requirements are correct, unambiguous, and verifiable.
  • Understand the client and the client's needs; provides realistic expectations; establishes specific customer satisfaction standards and actively monitors client satisfaction.
  • Facilitate the definition of service levels and customer requirements. Interact regularly with existing or potential clients to determine their needs and to develop plans for improving delivery. Advocate on behalf of clients and represent clients' needs as appropriate to senior management. Work cross-functionally to solve problems and implement changes.

Education/Experience:

Bachelors Degree and five or more years of work experience, preferably in a healthcare environment.

  • Possess strong technology, organizational, and documentation skills. 
  • Understanding of information technology concepts and processes.
  • Demonstrate high level of proficiency in computer applications as related to job assignment i.e., MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, or other software applications.
  • Demonstrate communication effectiveness, and good project management discipline. 
  • Ability to foster trusting relationships with colleagues and clients.
